This is to inform industry professionals and members of the public that membership of Association of Hotel Professionals-Kenya, is exclusive for hospitality and tourism (including hospitality academia) professionals, who have been vetted and passed for membership after meeting the joining threshold. The certificates are issued to qualified and approved members to only those vetted and is valid for one year and renewed upon payment of the annual subscriptions.

We have recently received a number of requests for issuance of the AHPK certificate mainly coming from professionals from other Countries to enable them secure employment or get promotion. As indicated, our membership certificates are only issued to bonafide members who qualify after vetting.

We have also noted with great concern that some fake organizations have been presenting themselves as registrars of our association and asking members who require AHPK certificates, to pay money so as to be issued with the same. A number of unsuspecting members of public have succumbed and robbed of their money and for purpose of avoiding such crimes taking place in future, I wish to state our official contacts as appended below and also state that any other organ or group of people, purporting to represent the association or collecting money in the guise of working for the association are fraudulently doing so and AHPK will not be held responsible for such acts.
