GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
- To give a voice to managers in the profession on matters aimed at enhancing their professional empowerment, equal opportunities in accessing gainful employments, access to public consultancy contracts and capital from government institutions mandated to fund
Hospitality and Tourism investment projects and activities. - To act as a lobby group in the articulation of industry matters in collaboration and partnership with the government and relevant industry agencies aimed at enabling the professionals to attain and occupy their rightful positions in the management and decision making forums concerning the industry.
- To participate in regulating the performance of the industry so as to harmonize and create a level playing field in the sector of hiring, training curriculum, service delivery, standards operating procedures and best practice.
- To nurture and harness expertise and knowledge from skilled veterans and share it with the industry through publications of professional manuals, books, periodicals, journals, magazines and biographies.
- To pool technical resources from its membership and provide consultancy services within the hotel & hospitality establishments and other stakeholders in Kenya and the rest of the world.
- To equip the hotel professionals with skills through seminars, symposiums and workshops including career talks by veterans and professional speakers.
- To provide a platform for research on issues affecting hotel operations and development including emerging trends in the industry and come up with modalities of coping with the new trends and challenges.
- To develop linkages between training institutions with local, regional and international hotel establishments, professionals and other stakeholders for academic and industrial development purposes and facilitate access to internship opportunities in line with the government guidelines that all industries, provide internship to upcoming undergraduates without discriminations or favoritism.
- To affiliate and connect its members to other similar associations for sharing and exchange of experiences, knowledge and research findings that will assist in tackling current and emerging challenges.
- To promote and enhance the spirit of corporate social responsibilities within the hotel industry through involvement in socio-economic activities and environmental & conservation programs within the region through relevant organizations such as Hospitality and Tourism Sports Organization (HOTOSO) among others.
- To be a non-profit making, non-political and non-secular organization.
