The Executive Committee
  1. Executive Committee shall consist of all the office bearers and four other members elected at the annual general meeting.
  2. Casual vacancies of the committee shall be filled by the committee until the next annual general meeting

Proceedings, Powers & Duties Of The Executive Committee

  1. Shall manage the property and affairs of the association in accordance with the Constitution and Bye-Laws
  2. Shall meet as often as the business may require but not less than once every three months.
  3. Fourteen days’ notice by electronic mail or in writing shall be given of each meeting
  4. Each executive committee present shall have one vote.
  5. Meetings shall be chaired by the executive committee chair.
  6. Shall have the powers to appoint sub-committees

Meetings

Shall be held at such places and times as the executive committee may appoint.

Meetings shall be as follows:-

  1. Ordinary Meetings
  2. Annual General Meeting
  3. Special General Meeting

Proceedings at Meetings

  1. Quorum at any Annual or Special General Meeting shall be one half (1/2) of registered members
  2. The Chair shall preside at all meetings and in his/her, the Vice-Chair or, if none is present, any member of the executive committee present shall preside.
  3. The annual general meeting shall be held not later than 1st December in each year.
  4. Notice in writing of such annual general meeting; accompanied by the annual statement of account and the agenda for the meetings shall be sent to all members not less than 21 days before the date of meeting
  5. Voting shall be personal and no proxy.
  6. The chair shall have a casting vote in addition to his personal vote.

Ammendment to the Constitution

  1. Amendment to the constitution must be approved by at least a two thirds majority
  2. Can only be implemented with prior consent in writing of the registrar of societies

Branches

  1. May be formed with the recommendation of the executive committee and approved by members at a general or special meeting
  2. The recommendation will be notified to the registrar of societies before they adopt the same

Dissolution

  1. Shall not dissolve except by a resolution passed at a general meeting of members by a vote of 2/3 of members present.
  2. The quorum at the meeting shall be as per the constitution

Inspection of Account and List Members

The books of account and all documents relating thereto and list of members of the association shall be available for inspection at the registered office of the association by an officer or member of the association on giving not less than seven days’ notice in writing to the association

It is registered under the Societies Act, with the aim to lobby and secure its members rightful place and offer a voice for professionals who are both active in service, retired or in consultancy with an extension to reach out and consider individuals from institutions of higher learning preparing undergraduates to join the industry.
